Usually, people have their sweetest sleep at this time, but our NDA cadets have to wake up and get ready for their practice session. The cadets wake up by a speech alarm. A junior cadet calls everyone with a cheery loud voice, singing the motto/slogan of their squadron/Battalions. They all get freshen up and prepare themselves for morning drills or exercises.
The junior cadets go through basic physical exercises, drills, intense workouts with weights on their shoulders, etc. The senior cadets go for Parade Practice.
After a hectic training schedule, it's time for breakfast! All the cadets get time to freshen up themselves, relax and enjoy their breakfast at Asia's largest mess. They have to finish their meal on time as it's time to attend the classes.
As per National Defense Academy's schedule, the cadets attend their academic classes from 9:00 to 1:00 pm. The cadets have subjects like Bachelor of Arts, Science and Engineering and foreign languages course. There are six periods in a day which the cadets have to attend.

NDA also offers other sports activities like Horse Riding, Swimming, Rafting, Polo, Shooting. Isn't it fun to relax and entertain yourself with your favorite sports after a hectic schedule? All the cadets at NDA love this part. They get involved in the activities and enjoy the time. NDA also organize sports competition. Cross country is one such Athlete Activity held in NDA.
National Defense Academy's schedule is a little harsh. You have to prepare yourself mentally and physically. After the games period, cadets relax and get ready to study. No, you don't have to attend class. It's self-study time. The cadets learn and revise everything taught in the academic session.
This half an hour is only for announcements of events. The senior cadet allocated with certain appointments brief the Cadets about the events happening in the NDA shortly.
It's time for dinner, NDA cadets! The Cadets have their nutritious meal at the mess and interact with other cadets about the everyday Routine at NDA and other stuff. It's cheery and interacting time.
